Nigeria-China ties to extend to tourism



The Minister of Information and Culture Alh Lai Mohammed says Nigeria and China have a lot to benefit from each other in the areas of information, culture and Tourism. He stated this in Abuja when the Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria Mr Gu Xiojie paid him a courtesy visit. Alh Lai Mohammed said President Buhari’s recent state visit to China was a clear indication that China was ready to assist Nigeria in the development of infrastructure, culture and tourism The Minister of Information and Culture commended China for helping to develop broadcasting Nigeria which he said went a long way in reducing subscription of tariff for the viewers.
Alh Lai Mohammed said Mr. Gu Xiaojie demonstrated leadership and diplomatic qualities a feat which he maintained went a long way in promoting the image of the People Republic of China. The Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria Mr. Gu Xioajie who said Nigeria and China had had bilateral relations spanning over 47 years, said his country was ready to further her cooperation with Nigeria in mutual learning in the areas of civilization, culture and tourism. Mr. Gu Xiaojie commended the President Buhari administration for its doggedness in fighting corruption, insurgency and other social vices which he said would help to foster national development.
