The Minister of Information and culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed has commended the collaboration between the Chinese Media Group, Star Times and the Nigerian Television Authority, NTA. He gave the commendation when he visited the Headquarters of Star Times in Beijing, China. Alhaji Lai Mohammed who said the collaboration had revolutionalized T.V. viewing in the country, expressed gratitude to the Chairman of the Company, Mr. Xinxing Pang, over his plans to expand its operations in Nigeria.
The Minister also commended the Company for the giant strides it had recorded under 30 years of its existence. Responding, the Chairman of Star Times Mr. Xinxing Pang, described the NTA as his most important partner in Africa. Mr. Pang said Star Times planned to establish manufacturing plant in the country to produce decoders, television sets as well as building of a State-of -the -art Studios.
