Anti-corruption: Pray for Nigeria every first Fridays, Mondays monthly – Cleric urges Christians, Muslims

A LAGOS based Cleric, Rev. Yomi Kasali has urged Nigerians to support the anti-corruption drive of President Muhammad Buhari by dedicating a day to pray for Nigeria. The Clergyman who is the founder and senior Pastor of Foundation of Truth Assembly (FOTA), Surulere, appealed to both Christians and Muslims to throw more weight and dedicate first Sundays and Fridays of every month to preach anti-corruption messages. Speaking during a press conference to announce the Church’s 10th year anniversary in Lagos, which kicks off today September 23, tagged: “Giant Killers Conference (GKC 2015), Ten Times Better” Kasali said: “President Buhari should be very careful in choosing who becomes minister in his administration and there’s need for him to take time and get people with high moral values that can purge corruption out of the country.” He also said, “Nigeria is pleasantly blessed with abundant resources. However, issues of crime rate is going up. Buhari needs people with integrity around him, a new cruse, filled with water and salt to heal and restore the barren and saltless land. “As Nigeria marks her 55th independence anniversary, we, as a church herald it with a conference starting from Wednesday September 23 to 27, for people to see what we feel as a church concerning corruption and to raise the bar on moral standards in the nation.” Notable speakers that will be preaching on burning issues in the nation are: former PFN president and Presiding Bishop of Trem, Bishop Mike Okonkwo, Pastor Tunde Bakare, and other men of God
