Suicide Bombers Attack Maiduguri, 22 Feared Dead

No fewer than 22 people have been confirmed dead following a Boko Haram attack on a community in Maiduguri, the Borno state capital. According to newsplanetb reporter, the attack was carried out by three female suicide bombers, who detonated their bombs in the community this morning. The bombers reportedly attacked the Umarari Bayan Waya area of Mulai Village in Maiduguri with Improvised Explosive Devices (IED), injuring 17 others injured. According to an eye witness residing in that area, the bombers carried out the attack when some Muslims were getting set for the morning prayer, and also lost their lives in the process. And as an update to the initial report that seven people lost their lives from the attack, fresh reports say about 22 bodies have been counted from the bombings that occurred this morning. Meanwhile, the Nigerian Military or Police is still expected to issue an official statement on the recent attack on the civilians in the troubled region. This attack is coming just about 24hours after a similar attack was carried out on mosques in Mulai, a suburb of Maiduguri, where over 26 people were confirmed dead as two deadly explosions sent residents of the area scampering for safety. These recent attacks have made little, assurances by the presidency and the Nigerian troops, that they will end insurgency in the country before the end of the year.
