UPF inaugurates IPAPN



The Universal Peace Federation, UPF, has inaugurated the International Parliamentarian Association for Peace in Nigeria.


At a conference for the inauguration in Abuja, the Executive Director of UPF, Nigeria, Mr George Ikpot said the aim of the platform was to involve parliamentarians in peace building. In an address, a member, Senate Committee on Security and Intelligence, Senator Mohammed Lafiagi said the initiative could help address inter-ethnic and inter-religious rivalry in the Country.

 Condemning the recent activities of the Niger Delta militants, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Chief Mike Ozekhome urged the Federal Government not to entertain policies that would cause disunity among Nigerians. The Association for Peace consists of National and State House of Assembly members as well as Local Government Councillors.

  1. let them do what they are suppose to do for the niger delters and stop harvest our oil for nothing. this is not boko haram that they used to frustrate Jonathan.
