The Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, has appealed to Christians in the Federal Capital Territory to maintain peace and avoid act that can affect harmonious relationship in the territory.
The FCT Chairman of CAN Revered Israel Akanji made the plea while reacting to the last week's killing of a Pastor in Kubwa satellite town of the Territory.
Reverend Akanji who expressed displeasure over the gruesome murder of the female preacher said the association was working with relevant authorities to ensure that those behind the act were brought to book. The FCT CAN Chairman also appealed to the government to put a mechanism in place to check the reoccurrence. Reverend Akanji stressed the need for religious leaders to educate their followers on the importance of peaceful co-existence to national development.
