Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau State has tasked Secretaries to Governments in the 36 states of the Federation to bring their wealth of experience, contribute their quota and assist their respective Governors to drive the diverse policies designed by their Governments to take their States out of economic recession.
According to him, this is the only way the common man will feel the positive aspect of the change agenda of the Federal Government. Lalong gave the charge on Monday in Jos, while addressing participants at the 4th Progressive Governors Forum Policy Design Session for All Progressives Congress, APC, Secretaries to State Governments, where he urged them to rise to the call of duty and carry out the responsibilities of their offices with utmost sense of commitments. The Governor, who was represented by his Deputy, Professor Sonni Tyoden, said: “I admonish you in the words of our President to think outside the box as abnormal challenges call for abnormal solutions. “You are responsible for designing the framework for these policies and you continue to remain at the controls of what is generally called the engine room of government.”
