Emerging men’s wear fashion brand DAMSCO by Otufodunrin Damilola presents her debut collection – “The Report” “This particular collection was majorly inspired by my father’s profession. Growing up in a home filled with Newspapers, it is no surprise that my mind is focused on a newspaper print fabric while preparing for this collection. The title, The Report aims at achieving two things; first, reporting that DAMSCO has come to stay as a men’s wear fashion brand and secondly, helping the non adventurous fashion lover to stay within the confines of what he perceives to be the safest colors. WHITE and BLACK Otufodunrin Damilola, a graduate of History and Strategic Studies from the University of Lagos is an extreme lover of arts who started out as a fashion illustrator and later establish himself, more as a designer with focus on men’s wear. His ultimate aim is to be able to produce ready to wear men’s wears that would match international standard and raise the bar of the Nigerian fashion Industry as an integral part Africa’s economic growth. Damilola who hails from Ogun state is the first child of Managing Editor Online of The Nation Newspapers, Lekan Otufodunrin who he says influenced his love for suits.
